During the summer, nothing beats working up a sweat jumping at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park and then cooling off at Emerald Point. This water park has over 35 attractions, including slides, pools, and a lazy river. The wave pool is fun for all ages, and for those in your family who like more daring rides, there are some extreme slides, such as the Tunnel of Terror.
- Guilford Courthouse National Park
During the Revolutionary War, Guildford Courthouse was the site of a major battle. Today, this landmark is home to an excellent park and historical museum where you can explore the visitor center and go on a short walking tour of the grounds. Check out their calendar of events – some weekends, they have special “living history” days or even battle reenactments which can be a lot of fun to watch.
- Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden
If you’re looking for a relaxing spot after jumping, try the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. Admission is free, so you and your family can enjoy time walking the 7.5-acre gardens without breaking the bank. The gardens feature a man-made stream, as well as a number of bronze sculptures.
- International Civil Rights Center & Museum
Lastly, a good way to end a day after enjoying time together at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park is to spend some time at the International Civil Rights Center & Museum. This location is dedicated to civil and human rights from around the world, starting, of course, with the 1960s nonviolent protests and sit-ins that happened right in Greensboro.
